Chapter 8 - Tyler

Tyler was running. Away from Caroline and her mother. The sheriffs blood was still on his hands and since he felt so sticky around his mouth he assumed it was blood there too. After what felt like hours of running, Tyler stopped. His heart was pounding so hard that he could fell it against his ribs. He dropped down on his knees and started to cry. Tyler hated it when other guys cried, but he couldn't stop it. It was like a waterfall behind his eyes that needed to get out. Tyler tried to wipe away the tears, but he only smeared the blood from his hands on to his face

"No.. No!" He cried out as his fangs protruded when the smell of blood hit his nostrils. He fell down on the ground and curled up against a tree and tried to sleep for a little while, just to make this horrible memory in his mind go away for a while.

A branch cracked and Tyler awoke. He tried to get a clear visions but his eyes were tired and for a few moments everything was blurry. When he could focus his eyes, Tyler was staring into the dark eyes of a deer. The deer's entire body was tense, it was ready to run at any second. Tyler just blinked his eyes once and the deer made a run for it. It was gone in a matter of seconds, leaving nothing behind but a few tracks in the mud. Tyler stretched out his body and then he saw it. The blood in his hands. It was dry now, but the memories came back and hit him like a flash. The last thing he could remember before Caroline had screamed his name, and he had found himself standing on all four over her mothers body, was him walking up to the hotel room he was staying in. Tyler frowned and tried to think.

"I put the key in the lock, said hello to the old cleaning lady.." He was talking with a low voice to himself, but after that is was blank in his mind.

"Maybe if I start to walk, the memories will come back.." Tyler whispered to himself and got up on his feet, and started to walk towards the small lake in the forest to wash of his hands. He felt completely numb, and that made him scared. What if he was dead an it was his spirit that was walking around in the forest. Maybe if he turned himself, and he felt the extreme pain of it, he would feel more alive. But when Tyler started to zip down his jacket, he stopped and started to think. Was he a suicidal freak now? Those people who cut their arms just to feel the pain and know that they were alive? Tyler pulled up the zipper on his jacket and started to jog towards the lake. He washed of his hands in the cold and clear water. A vibration in his pocket made him realise he had his phone with him. 25 Missed calls. 13 New messages.

"Mom." Tyler sighed but then realized that it wasn't just from his mom. Elena. Stefan. Mom. Bonnie. Matt.

"Where are you?! We nee your help!" - Elena

"We need your help to come up with a new plan! Come back to Mystic Falls!" - Stefan

"Tyler honey, call me when you see this. I miss you." - Mom

Tyler started to scroll down in his phone and one of the messages made him stop. Caroline. He took a deep breath and opened the text message with IMPORTANT as its subject.

"I just have one thing to say to you Tyler. Never, ever try to get back into my life. I hate you so much right now... Go to hell your hybrid son of a bitch."

Tyler dropped his phone. The chock was to much. But then it hit him. Hybrid. Maybe that was the answer? It was the first time Tyler had gotten a blackout, ever. Not even a "getting drunk and passing out" blackout had happened to him before. So maybe the hybrid thing was the answer? There was only one problem. The only person he could talk to was not exactly his favourite person. He had to visit Klaus.
